Prithvi (he/him) is an archivist at the Moving Image & Recorded Sound (MIRS) division of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. He specializes in digital preservation, metadata strategy, and equitable access across museum, library, and archival collections, having worked across a range of institutions including New York Historical, LACMA, NYU Libraries, and the Natural History Museum of LA County. He received an M.A. in Archives & Public History (Archives Concentration) from New York University.
When he is not wading around in metadata, Prithvi volunteers at XFR Collective, a non-profit organization that works towards lowering the barriers to preserving at-risk audiovisual media. In his free time, you can find him bouldering at a local climbing gym, playing football (as in futbol), or hanging out with his cat, Dirt.
